In 1991 Troy Davis was sent to jail for the murder of an off duty police officer, even though there was no physical evidence. He has been on death row, in Georgia, and his execution was scheduled for yesterday, September 23rd. A couple of hours before Davis was to be killed, the U.S. Supreme Court granted him stay to figure out if they were to hear his appeal. The decision will be made by Monday, Septemeber 29th, but if they decide against the appeal, a new execution date will be made.
